SMOKED TURKEY RECIPE INGREDIENTS
- 1 fully packed peck of turnip greens
- 2 smoked turkey legs
- 2 Spanish onions, sliced
- Water
- Salt & pepper to taste
Pick over and thoroughly rinse greens. Rinse several times until water is clear and not gritty. In extra large pot, boil meat and onions to make a good broth. Use plenty of water to allow for evaporation. Add greens, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours at a steady steam.
